Cycling (April - September)
During the summer months we take to our bikes to explore the fabulous countryside and cycle tracks around Peasedown St John. Join us Fridays at 6:15pm at Church for about an hour's cycle - hopefully the distances will get longer as we get fitter! Anyone is welcome, but you will need to be able to cycle about 5 miles - if the hill is too steep, we'll be walking up it. We're fair weather cyclists though - if it's raining, we won't go!
Fit4Free (October - March)
As the nights get shorter we take the exercise indoors for a few months. Join us Fridays at 6:15pm at Church for an hour's workout.
Available on the first Saturday of every month from 9am until 11:45am.
Your breakfast to order from a choice of:
- Eggs (fried or scrambled)
- Hash Browns
- Baked Beans
- Tea or Coffee
Amazing value at only £3.50!
We also serve bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, scrambled egg on toast, juices and more!
Handicraft Workshop Days
We hold Handicraft Workshop Days three times a year on the second Saturday of February, May and November and offer 5 different crafts on each occasion. After a cup of Coffee, from 10.00 am, we have a short time of worship and then split into groups to follow our chosen Craft for the day. We stop for a lunch break, when soup and bread are provided, and continue again until 3.30pm when we reassemble to view each others efforts with a final cup of tea.
Booking is by application form beforehand. The cost for the day is £4.50, plus any materials provided by the Tutors.
It is an opportunity to share ideas and learn a new craft or expand your knowledge and enjoy meeting new friends. All are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult No experience is needed.
Every 2 years a group of around 50 of us head off for a weekend away at the Hill House Christian Conference Centre in the Somerset countryside for a weekend of fellowship, fun, prayer and praise. Young and old, the weekend helps us get to know each other and God a bit better.
We always eat very well (thanks to Ros & Valerie), we worship, we swim, we eat some more, we have a lot of fun and we enjoy relaxing together as God's family.
The Hill House weekend is a special time which we are privileged to be able to share in.
